Never Be Yourself at Work? Why Words and Context Matter

Align with Veronica Season 2 Episode 42

I was recently watching a podcast where the episode title caught my attention: “Never Be Yourself at Work.” It was designed to be provocative, and it worked. But it also struck me because of my own experience with how the words “authenticity” and “professionalism” are often misused and misunderstood.

This episode explores why words and context matter when it comes to being authentic at work and how different professions shape the meaning (and the cost) of “professionalism.”

Some roles demand suppression, others thrive on creativity. Authenticity always depends on context, and that choice shapes your healing, creativity, and calling. Slowing down and aligning with your values changes how you work and how you live.
